Job completed for Southwire

Completion date: April 16, 2024

Location: Haslet, TX

Why did the customer contact us?

Our customer needed 18 OM3 12-strand fiber optic cables to be terminated and tested in their new warehouse in Fort Worth. Each IDF had a fiber tray that needed to be organized neatly and professionally.

Solutions provided:

Over 2 weeks, we terminated and certified over 400 single-mode fiber strands. Most cabinets required a man lift to gain access. We worked closely with the customer to ensure that each IDF was standardized according to their criteria. Because we have multiple certified fiber optic technicians at Politon, we completed the job with minimal issues. The fiber tray being used in the MDF did not have enough bays to accommodate the 18 IDFs worth of fiber, so we had to use 24 port bulkheads instead of the typical 12 port. In the course of the job, unfortunately, some of our work was damaged by some other construction workers. We were able to repair this damage and still get the job completed on time for our customer.
