The Politon team not only did it cheaper but did it better. Great attention to detail and care! Clint added another hanger at the Denton airport via fiber optics to a new Comm room and re-ran copper between the other two hangers. Never had an issue. We also used him for local response to hands-on to gain access remotely in times where we lost connectivity to our equipment. Great job and you would be a fool not to use him!!

We hired Clint and his team to design, build and deploy our fiber optic network and 60 camera layout in our new 200,000 sq foot manufacturing facility. These guys are true professionals and a pleasure to work with. From the minute we brought the network online it has run flawlessly. In fact we were so impressed with his work that we also hired him to build and deploy the network in our new office. I highly recommend Politon for any networking projects. Clint has been in 3 or 4 times since the project was completed just to make sure everything was working perfectly. We will definitely be using Clint and his team for any future projects of this nature.

We contracted Politon for a very large multi-day project in which we were removing and replacing the entire WiFi network as well as clearing and resetting existing components. The project consisted of 8 locations spread out in the Knoxville and Chattanooga markets. All 8 of the business were open and running during the installs and we experienced next to zero downtime during the entire process. The project ran from 3 am Wednesday morning until late Saturday night with Techs working the entire time. Politon’s techs and crews were incredibly professional, worked quickly, and kept me in the loop during the entire project. We have been very happy with the work as well as the continued support. I highly recommend Politon for all of your IT needs

The phones are easy to use and Politon does a great job of training on how to use the phones. We recently had a spam robocaller that was tying up our phone lines by calling every 10 seconds for over 2 hours. Politon was able to put a block on the number and gave us much needed relief.

We installed over thirty plenum-rated Cat 6 data cables to their new suite along with three WiFi access points and two security cameras. This customer was very happy with our work and had several more projects for us to help them with. A unique challenge on this project was the general contractor only provided two 1" conduits penetrating the floor which would not accommodate all our data cabling. He was kind enough to core us a 3" hole in the adjacent electrical room for all our current and any future cabling needs.

Krum, TX

August 29, 2024

Our techs were able to efficiently install all the customer-provided Cisco equipment. We installed an LTE modem for their temporary internet connection as well as ten Wifi access points. The customer was very pleased with our installation and has us doing a second project for them.

Fort Worth, TX

FWISD added two new state-of-the-art delay game clocks that need a multi-mode fiber optic connection. This was a fairly large project in the heat of the summer that required extensive trenching, laying new conduits, and installing fiber optic boxes. The customer was very happy with our work and had us do the same solution at a second stadium for the school district.

Ponder, TX

July 23, 2024

Because there were no existing conduits between the buildings, and trenching would be cost-prohibitive, Politon provided a Ubiquiti P2P solution. The dishes were mounted facing each other in a space that would not be covered up by trucks being loaded or unloaded. Because a pre-programmed P2P device was purchased, there was no need to spend time configuring once all the proper equipment was installed. The customer was walked through how to access their new Ubiquiti equipment and was satisfied with the solution provided.

Over 2 weeks, we terminated and certified over 400 single-mode fiber strands. Most cabinets required a man lift to gain access. We worked closely with the customer to ensure that each IDF was standardized according to their criteria. Because we have multiple certified fiber optic technicians at Politon, we completed the job with minimal issues. The fiber tray being used in the MDF did not have enough bays to accommodate the 18 IDFs worth of fiber, so we had to use 24 port bulkheads instead of the typical 12 port. In the course of the job, unfortunately, some of our work was damaged by some other construction workers. We were able to repair this damage and still get the job completed on time for our customer.

We installed IP Cameras within four separate buildings each with its own NVR. The customer did not want to network these buildings together but wanted to have remote access to the NVR of each building. We installed approximately 40 IP security cameras with infra-red night vision. Some cameras are mounted on an arm on the exterior and others are flush mounted on the ceiling within the building. Overall this project went very well. We have had to do some follow-up training with the customer on accessing his cameras with his desktop as well as his cell phone. Our crew did enjoy eating at a restaurant they had never tried before - Uncle Betos in Pilot Point. They serve good chips and hot sauce if you're ever in the area.

The customer started their paging project by calling Bogen to get a list of equipment to install in their small warehouse. The equipment Bogen recommended was (1) PCM2000 3 Zone Paging System, (1) TPU 250 Amplifier and (3) SPT30A Paging horns. The next step was to find a vendor to install this solution. The customer called us and we did a site visit to see the site and hardware. We quoted using a 16 gauge two-strand cable daisy chained between the three 30-watt horns and made a solid paging solution. We did help the customer with their paging gateway device provided by their hosted IP phone provider (Spectrum) and had them program it correctly. Once they fixed it we could ring our test phone, the PCM2000 answered and it was all up and running. The customer was very happy with our installation team and wanted to know if we would travel to Georgia for the same solution in another facility.

Politon helped Siemons with a two-part network project in south Fort Worth, TX. The largest part of the project was to install directional Wifi antennas in each row of the racking in their warehouse. This involved mounting both the Wifi access point and the additional external directional antenna. We numbered each board according to the customer's numbering scheme and painted it the required color as well. These Cisco directional antennas are great in narrow high racking with the range extending just beyond the end of both ends of the racking. The second part of the project was to install data cabling to several desk locations. Each location had a triple drop inside liquid-tight flexible conduit with a strain wire mesh support at the top. On the bottom of the drop was a four-square box with a face plate. All cabling for both the data drops and the Wifi is Siemons data cabling. Siemons has been very happy with our work and has asked us to work on several other projects for them as well in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Politon is a Siemons Certified Installer with all the required test equipment and certifications that professional installation requires. Siemons offers a 25-year cabling warranty on Certified Installation.

Hilti wanted a new paging system mainly for emergency pages throughout the facility. We installed around 14 of the Valcom 30-watt paging horns and four ceiling-mounted speakers through the open areas of the office. This project took several of our techs about a week to complete. The customer was very happy with our work and asked us to give them a quote on another project. We installed two desk top microphones per the customers request for paging access.

Texas Security Bank has been a long-time customer of ours and we have been fortunate to help them move into three different buildings. This location has about 200 Cat 6 cables and a dozen wifi access points. We installed an MDF and an IDF on another floor with OM3 fiber connecting the two suites. We also installed data drops behind the TVs and HDMI Cat 6 extensions to the conference tables to the TVs as well.

The Colony, TX

Our technician provided the expertise to understand their problem and would discover additional resources they currently had to resolve the issue quickly. At first glance he discovered they had a spare fiber with a female connector on it. Once the connector was removed this existing strand could be used and was able to get their video feed across the fiber back up immediately. This tool all the pressure off the tech to fix the broken strand by fusion splicing it and adding heat shrink wraps for durability.

August 25, 2023

We provided a solution utilizing Ubiquiti equipment, our preferred brand due to ease of installation and use. We installed a new network cabinet in the middle of the warehouse to provide better coverage and connected it to the MDF via fiber optic cable. We installed 10 Wifi access points throughout the warehouse and were able to seamlessly phase out the old mesh-based network with no downtime for our customer. Utilizing one of our new tools, the AirCheck G3 Pro, we were able to validate the effectiveness of the new Wi-Fi network in the warehouse. A heat map of the results is included in this post. The customer was pleased with our solution as well as the result of the analysis and we look forward to doing more business with NOK Recommerce!

This was a BYOD (Bring your own device) installation for us with Denton Calvary. The customer had approximately thirty Fortinet Wi-Fi access points that he needed cabled and installed. With the new fiber backbone across the campus, all the Wi-Fi can be linked back to the MDF at 1 Gig connections. This project was challenging because the customer wanted it installed before school started back which meant extremely hot attic spaces. The other challenge is that getting cable to the second floor of some buildings required installing conduit but other than that it went very well and the customer has had us come back on a few smaller projects.

Denton, TX

August 4, 2023

We installed over 1000 feet of armored and unarmored OM3 Fiber Optic Cable through hundreds of feet of EMT conduit, fully implementing a solution that seamlessly connected all five buildings of the Private School's campus. We also installed a new network cabinet that enabled the customer to secure their network equipment in a space that was only accessible to authorized personnel. The customer was pleased with our solution and we have since completed two more projects for Denton Calvary Academy.

McKinney, TX

August 2, 2023

For this paging installation project, we installed Valcom V9028 2' x 2' lay-in ceiling speakers and we utilized a Ubiquiti ATA to connect our analog paging system to the IP phones at the facility. The customer provided the Ubiquiti phones and the Ubiquiti ATA for the handoff to our Valcom paging gateway. We connected all the speakers on both the first and second floor to the talk path output of the Valcom and tested each speaker by playing music across the paging system. After each speaker was adjusted we set the Valcom Paging Gateway to delayed announcement. The customer was very pleased with the solution.

May 30, 2023

Our techs repaired 2 strands of fiber optic cable from the basement to the 19th floor. Then we tested and certified them to ensure everything was working properly. This gave the customer a new network connection on some old, damaged fiber cables. Clint was given the opportunity to go out on the deck of the tower. He got to see a new and beautiful view of Dallas. Cool experiences like this are one of the best parts of our jobs! We love getting to see and do new things that we might not get to otherwise.

Using materials supplied by the client, our technicians installed 10 network drops in the warehouse to each workstation. We also installed 7 APs in the warehouse and one in the office to ensure consistent coverage. Additionally, we installed a new network cabinet in the office. Our technicians completed this job on a Saturday to help the client minimize these upgrades’ impact on their productivity during business hours.

McKinney, TX

February 20, 2023

We added two network cabinets by running shielded fiber connections into their warehouse. We then networked their CNC machines to the cabinets via CAT6 cable. Once we cabled the CNC machines, we then redid their Wi-Fi to further improve the connection out in the warehouse. Our techs also installed a dozen security cameras inside and outside the warehouse. The customer was very satisfied with our work and we enjoyed working with them.

While at New Song School of Art our team installed a camera in each of the classroom, office and closed space for a grand total of 40 camera installations! At the request of the customer we connected the classroom camera to a monitor in the lobby so that parents are now able to comfortably keep an eye on their students as they are participating in their private lessons. Each camera also came with a speaker so that parents were able to not only watch but listen to the lesson! We also installed new wifi access points throughout the facility. This enabled the staff to walk through their main campus to separate buildings all while being connected to the same wifi with no drop in service and having to connect to a new wifi.

Our team led by Clint Polly installed four security cameras along the exterior of the building. Strategically pointed at the backyard, parking lot, front, and side porches. An interesting feature we installed at the CCC included a monitor located directly by the front door for students to be aware of their surroundings at a glance and have a sense of safety as they leave the building. A hurdle our team overcame began with the installation of the wiring for the revamped security system. As the building is multistory, there was no crawl space or attic, so we had to run conduit along the edge of the interior of the building that then penetrated to the outside of the building. However, we overcame this obstacle by adding a conduit solution with no exposed cabling for more security. Our team worked tirelessly to complete this project promptly to ensure that the students at the Christan Campus Community were comfortable walking around their own building.

Dallas, TX

December 14, 2022

In order to secure their Wi-Fi connection, we added seven new Wi-Fi access points that allow their handheld RF guns to be used efficiently anywhere in the warehouse. Before the day was complete, we also installed a dual network drop to accommodate a new workstation and provided a sixteen-port network switch that was uplinked to all the new Wi-Fi access points.

Dallas, TX

December 8, 2022

We installed an attenuator on both floors, which allowed them to amplify the sound from the paging systems across the floor. By adding the attenuator, employees are now able to adjust the volume of the entire floor unanimously or individually, allowing for better customization for each speaker. However, there were two speakers that did not have control knobs, allowing for these easy adjustable sounds. Our technicians are going back to install these adjustable knobs as a courtesy to the customer. The customer provided all 30 of the ceiling speakers that we installed. Our team of three technicians was able to completely finish wiring and installing valcom power supplies for thirty speakers within two days of work.

November 23, 2022

We connected the two floors of Texas Security Bank with a multi-mode fiber optic cable. With the primary data room downstairs, we were tasked with feeding the fibers upstairs to different network cabinets. After connecting the first floor to the second, we installed three new access points across the building. In order to give the customer the utmost satisfaction, we installed upwards of 75 data cables, allowing for seamless connection between the bank’s teller systems, ATM machines, in house PC's, and many other appliances that required a Wi-Fi connection. Our team also installed all of the network hardware, which included the network switch, firewalls, and battery backups. At the request of the customer, we also added these to the large wall-mount cabinet that fit the specs of their equipment list.

Politon was asked to restore the building’s technology through the installation of all-building wifi. Politon then installed eight different wifi access points throughout the mosque, including a controller that allows for universal control over these points. Politon also provided turn-key wifi installation, which was installed throughout the corridors of the mosque and the prayer rooms on both the first and second floors. This provided lots of wifi coverage throughout the building, eventually upgrading the entire facility to a brand new computer network. The customer for this project was extremely satisfied with the work that was completed, and after building a long relationship with the workers of Politon, they are happy to say that they are loyal Politon customers.

Garland, TX

November 21, 2022

The company’s MDF was based on the second floor but needed fiber extension to the IDF on the first floor. Thus, Politon completed this extension in addition to installing a fiber tray on both sides using an OM-3 multimode 6-strand fiber, which was also certified with a Owl Fiber Certification tool between both floors. They also pulled 6 CAT-6 data runs from the second-floor MDF closet to the IT help desk, which helped to provide a hardwire wifi connection between both areas. Throughout the entirety of this project, Politon did not face any major challenges in relation to the installation.

Fort Worth, TX

November 17, 2022

Their current technology was originally located on multiple different floors, but Politon helped to connect each of these locations for greater efficiency. Politon added two post data rack from the MDF to the cubicles located on the fifth floor, which took about 200 CAT-6 data drops. They then added multimodal fiber between the new data room with the new post rack and the MDF and proceeded to create a new IDF on a different floor to better feed connections to future users. Politon also assisted with cabling for security purposes by pulling cables from eight different access points and POE cameras around the suite in hopes of providing optimal assistance. By the end of the project, the insurance company was highly satisfied with the work done by Politon and were delighted to consider themselves a customer of their company.

McKinney, TX

November 15, 2022

Politon first installed a 6U network cabinet, which was mounted on the wall with a patch panel. They also installed the customer’s network firewall and switch. From there, they installed a battery backup, which Politon mounted on a new shelf in consideration of potential water damage that could occur in the facility. They then installed a wifi access point above the main desk to ensure connectivity, as well as 6 CAT-6 network drops throughout the offices of the warehouse to provide greater efficiency towards their technological duties. Although there was much to do, Politon completed every task in less than two days in an effort to provide the best possible service for their beloved customers. By the end of the project, Dalworth Restoration was fully secure in technological services thanks to Politon.

McKinney, TX

November 10, 2022

They first ran multimodal fiber to the first floor, where they had just installed a new suite. Politon made sure that all their offices had data cable by installing a network cable that increases available fiber connections. Morrow Renewables also gave Politon their network switch to install in this location, where Politon also put in a new battery that they provided for the customer. The key to this situation was a turn-key tabling solution, where Politon did everything to extend the entire network down to the suite. Everything was working perfectly once Politon fired everything up. From there, Politon installed a customer-provided wifi access point in the center and the ceiling of their main office, which would allow for greater wifi coverage from all locations of the facility. Whether customers were on the first floor or the third floor, everyone would have the same wifi network thanks to the OM-3 strand multimodal fiber that Politon installed. By the end of the project, Morrow Renewables was extremely satisfied with the work completed by Politon.

Continental Electronics Corporation(CEC) is the premier manufacturer of advanced radio frequency and broadcast transmission. They have completed various projects and are among the leading competitors in high-power transmitters. In fact, CEC very own high-power transmitters are used by the Navy forces around the globe to communicate with submarine fleets as well as NASA to communicate with spacecraft. While on their campus our team pulled six stands of multimode armored fiber across the building. In order to do this we drilled holes in the wall to allow for the fiber to easily reach the opposite side of the campus. However, while running the cables our team found asbestosis in the older parts of the building. This added an unforeseen obstacle but our team worked tirelessly to work around the situation. By the end of this project, both Continental Electronics corporations was happy to have a new area of their department fully operational with their very own network switch.

Long-time customer Ariat Boot Distribution is expanding to a new warehouse in Coppell, Texas. The building that they are expanding to was previously utilized by a tenant and needed some upgrades in order to keep up with the growing company. The warehouse had some previously existing data cabinets around the warehouse. Our team was called in to run fibers and install network switches to the existing cabinets in the main data room. In order to maximize the connections and communications between employees in the warehouses, we installed and plugged in eight wifi access points into the network switch around the offices and warehouse. In order to maintain security, we installed four cameras to monitor aisles. Because this warehouse was previously occupied, we needed to test each of the thirty existing cables in the offices to provide utmost proficiency in our customers' new office. Our customer was pleased with the work of our team, and we discussed coming back for future projects.

Fortworth, TX

September 29, 2022

The customer had installed a new roll-up style garage door, but a problem arose when they noticed that an old cable was routed where the new door frame was. Our team went in and had to install CAT-6 data cables up 10 feet around the door to connect the IDF cabinet in the breakroom to the offices in order to clear the space for the doorway. They had previously been connecting the fibers with a fiber patch cord, so we went in and replace the patch with some real fiber cable and connected it to the fiber panel within the network cabinet. When fusion-splicing, we realized that the old fiber was not long enough to attach. Thus, our team had to stand on top of a ladder and balance our fusion-splicer for long periods of time in order to get the job done properly. Once finished with the project, we cut all of the old cables out and started the networks back up for their company to be able to continue with their work.

Burleson, TX

September 28, 2022

Long-time customer Saddle Creek Burleson ran into a problem with their security guard post when their fiber box with the network gear succumbed to water damage after bad weather. In order to increase the safety of their facility in the most efficient way possible, they called us in for our fiber optics services. We were able to take the fiber from the data cabinet in the guard post and run it to their desired location inside the building. After running the fiber, we were able to successfully complete the data connections and have the facilities’ security post running in no time.

Denton, TX

September 15, 2022

Politon has been working with Pavlov fiber for a while, so when Redpoint apartments in Denton, TX decided to switch providers from Verizon to Pavlolv, we got called out. In order to switch the providers, an extensive amount of work must be done to cut the fiber off from Verizon to re-splice them to Pavlov fiber. It is crucial that this process be uninterrupted, so our team worked for more than twelve hours to complete the fusion-splicing in its entirety.

Fort Worth, TX

July 26, 2022

The main portion of this project was connecting the two office spaces through data cabling allowing for an extension of the network used. This was especially difficult because one office space was on the 6th floor and the other was on the 5th floor of the neighboring building. Proving to be an even harder challenge as the pipes between the building had been busted and required a bit of ingenuity to allow for proper functionality. Once we were able to move and connect the cabling to each building, it was discovered that inside the office space the old tenant had pulled the data cabling and rebuilt walls around them. In an effort to utilize the old cabling we had to dig out the old cabling and reconfigure them to the new floor plan. To allow for a more enjoyable work-life experience, we added new additions to the conference and training room. These included adding AV cables that connected the HDMI cables from the TVs to an HDMI plate below the TV, and a CAT-6 to HDMI extension data cable. This allowed employees easy access when connecting laptops to the screens during important presentations. We also revamped the entire data rack and installed all the data cabling for the wifi and installed wifi access points. With 140 total cables, our team was able to completely build an entirely new office space.

Crossroads, TX

July 22, 2022

We installed OM3 multi-mode fiber to two new cottages to bring internet connectivity as well as a connection to the networked fire panels. The customer was very pleased to add these two new buildings to their existing fiber ring around their campus. We essentially had to cut the existing ring and incorporate two new buildings into the ring by pulling fiber to them and back-feeding the connection from the far building to the return portion of the campus loop. All new fiber was certified and staged for their network administrator to come out and plug in his equipment.

Garland, TX

This was the third project that we have teamed up with Insane Impact which specializes in large event LED screen installations.Insane Impact needed a fiber connectionfrom their data cabinet in one building out to their large wave pool LEDdisplay. We ended up installing an outdoor rated 10G multi-mode fiber optic cable approximately 650' underground to their remote network cabinet that connected to their wave pool LED screen. The main challenge was it was an extremely windy day and terminating fiber outside in the wind can be challenging. We tested and certified all six strands and were able to email our project contact the results for their keeping. We used an Owl F7X fiber power meter to document the signal loss for each strand.

Fort Worth, TX

March 8, 2022

Sam's Club in Fort Worth, Texas, was installing a conveyor system in their warehouse and asked us to add a fiber connection back to the main data room. The tasks needed to complete the job included: * Pulling six-strand armored multimode cable * Installing fiber trays in the data room and the conveyor cabinet * Installing connectors on the ends of each fiber * Testing the fibers with the OWL F7X power meter tester * Labeling the new equipment

Grapevine, TX

March 7, 2022

Located in Grapevine, Texas, Productiv Inc. had been sharing a warehouse with another tenant. When that tenant vacated, they cut most of the cables running through their data room which stopped all service to Productiv. After service was restored, the customer asked us to the move their data room to a different location in the building, so we ran fiber to the new location. They also asked us to install additional access points in the warehouse and the new office to boost coverage.

Little Elm, TX

January 28, 2022

We went on-site and needed to not only find the cable but to make sure it was working. We used our Fluke DSX-5000 network cable tester and plugged the cable that was in the wifi access point on the playground area into our remote side of the tester. When we went to the data room we looked for network switch ports that were not lit up with link lights. After testing the third dormant port we heard our tester chime that it had a connection to the remote end of the tester. We discovered it was cable 12 and was shorted across blue and green. The tech replaced the male RJ 45 end on both ends of the cable and tested again with a passing result. The customer seemed very pleased with the identification of the cable but also of the repair.

Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas, Texas, recently upgraded to a new high-speed IP phone system. After the upgrade, the phones in five offices weren't working. Having used Politon on other jobs, they called us to diagnose and repair the data cabling issue. To clarify, Ethernet has four pairs of wires. Computers use the orange and green pairs; typical IP phones add the brown pair; but the new high-speed IP phones use all four pairs, adding the blue pair. We isolated the cables going to the five offices and determined that the blue wires had not been terminated properly. After reinstalling the connections, the phones worked fine.

Baumann Springs is one of our regular customers for whom we provide data cabling solutions. The company requested some additional drops in their warehouse in Grand Prairie, Texas. Working in a fully operational warehouse around equipment and material requires extra care and attention. Our experienced installers carefully and quickly completed the task of mounting conduit, pulling cables, installing jacks, testing connections, and labeling/attaching faceplates. For over a decade we have provided data cabling solutions to Saddle Creek Logistics Services. They contacted us for twenty additional Ethernet drops in their Roanoke warehouse. Four drops for an existing station were pulled and mounted. The other sixteen drops were for new stations. They were pulled and installed in quad boxes; excess cable was provided since locations of the new stations had not been determined. As a critical final step in the process, Politon tested all the connections to verify they worked properly. As a side note, Roanoke is known as the unique dining capital of Texas. We took advantage of this by eating lunch at Hard Eight BBQ on South Oak Street.

Norfleet Land Services in Fort Worth, Texas, called us for a quick data cabling job. They needed two Ethernet drops for printers. The first drop was not complicated. The second drop, however, was a little more involved, because we had to maneuver the wire over solid ceilings with very limited access space. We used fiberglass fish rods to push the wire through the tight space. In less than an hour, we finished pulling cables, installing jacks, testing connections, and cleaning up. The customer was very grateful for the efficient service. The next time we have a job in Fort Worth, we would like to check out Heim BBQ on 1109 W Magnolia Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104. It is recommended by Texas Monthly and ranked number one on Yelp.

We provided technical support to install the customer's hardware solutions for Wifi, network switches and routers, network cabinets, and UPS with extended batteries. This was a fairly small office so the network cabling for the wifi was very easy. We installed four wifi access points for the customer. They had us install a network cabinet with their network switches and routers. One challenge we had was they wanted the patch cords to look a certain way in the network cabinet. What they had shipped for use to use was too short and we needed longer patch cords to dress them in as they wanted. So a second trip out was necessary to install the longer patch cords but we think it turned out nicely.

Frisco, TX

Our new customer in Frisco wanted us to install a four-post data rack they already had into their new data closet on the 4th floor. We installed approximately 64 Cat 6 data cables along with seven Cat 6A cables. The customer requested Cat 6A for all of their Wifi access points. They had us install the access points as well which ended up looking really nice. No real challenges on this location and the customer is great to work with which is always a bonus. Jose our lead tech did an outstanding job roughing in all the cables and finishing out the data rack.

We have worked several tickets very similar to this one for our customer. They have Invisalign fiber installed on the surface of their walls. This was a fiber retrofit method after the apartments had been built. It's a great product for this solution but the downside is if you run the fiber down the baseboard every time a tenant bumps the baseboard with the foot of their bed they can possibly damage the fiber. Students moving in and out and bumping the walls is the main issue with this fiber. To troubleshoot and fix the fiber is relatively easy. We typically start by attaching our VFL (visual fault indicator) aka laser to the head end of the fiber at the ONT and look for a light terminating from a break. I have included a few pictures of this here as well. Once the break is located it's just a matter of using your fusion splicer to splice on a new piece of fiber and then test again. With years of experience and some very expensive tools, it is relatively easy to repair fiber in multi-family housing.

To get to a resolution on this trouble ticket we worked for them was a multi-step process. First, we had to do a port audit which involved patching in a laptop doing a continuous ping into every network switch port in each of ten network closets across the property. This involved checking about five hundred network ports. Once we discovered and documented the bad ports we submitted our findings to our customers and they would determine which switches we would be replacing. All in all, we replaced about 8 switches that had damaged network ports due to the power surge from the lightning storm.

We ended up repairing the LC connectors on six strands of the single-mode fiber. Luckily the cable was lowered to the ground which allowed easy access to the cable the challenging part was there was very little slack to work with. To reinforce the fibers we had to use heat shrink wrap with several layers for strength due to the nature of how they handle the fiber when pulling it up the tower.

We ended up installing all the data cabling, data rack, network switch, Wifi access point, and NVR. We helped the doctor get her office up and running. The customer provided their own security cameras and NVR but we installed the cameras and the cabling back to the NVR. There were no real challenges on this project. This medical facility is located right off of Hwy 380 in McKinney, TX in a new business park. This customer was a pleasure to work with and we wish her much success.

We installed a SIP gateway paging solution that allowed their Ring Central phones to be able to page out to a traditional analog paging system. The customer wanted us to move one existing 5-watt Valcom paging horn and to add one new horn. We provided a Valcom VRCPA (Valcom Ring Central Paging Adapter) and programmed it with the customer-provided SIP information which allowed their page button to be utilized to page in the warehouse. The only issue we had was to convince the Ring Central admin to not use TLS1.2 when creating the SIP paging extension. With this option selected as "No" it would allow our VRCPA to work perfectly. Here are the main things to check when setting up a Valcom Ring Central Paging Adapter: - Set the paging mode to "Analog (SIP/FXO/FXS<>Analog output) - Set SIP Trasport to Accept TCP+UDP, Originate TCP -Make sure extension is set up with TLS1.2 as NO in the option. - Under SIP Transport make sure the Register box is checked

The customer had has come out again to pull a new fiber between these two buildings into the new conduit that was installed much deeper underground. The school has also marked the path of this new conduit and fiber for future reference. The problem in the past is they did not know the exact path the previous fiber went. The project went very smoothly and the only challenge was that the conduit contractor did not complete his installation to a wall mount box so we purchased all the materials to connect the new conduit to a wall mount box and then piped it over to the existing pathway into the building. We installed 6 strand multi-mode fiber optic cable between the two buildings. All cable was tested and certified as well. The customer was happy about our work and is now talking to us about additional projects to their new baseball stadium.

Our contact wanted to update their network cabling to all Cat 6 from what they currently have which is Categroy 5. They also wanted us to clean up their data rack and install wire management.

Fort Worth, TX

July 19, 2021

There were several solutions we installed here in addition to the new Cat 6 data cabling. We installed wall mount brackets with Cat 6 HDMI extensions from their NVR to allow two employees to view the security cameras from their offices. We provided two sets of HDMI extenders by Calrad. The customer also wanted us to take their Cat 6 cable that was punched down on voice 66 blocks and convert it to data cable on a patch panel. The process was fairly simple but just took some time toning out the cable and identifying which ones need to be used. We also pulled serveral new cables for Wifi access points and installed them as well.

Haslet, TX

July 14, 2021

We ended up installing (13) Wifi Access Points at this Haslet location as well as (40) Cat 6 data cables to pack outstations. We used 24" X 24" 1/2" plywood for the backboards and painted them fluorescent orange per the customers' request for the pendant-mounted access points. The customer let us install their new Cisco POE switches and installed the fiber SFP's. We found a spare pair of existing fiber back to the main data room for network connectivity. This customer is very happy with our work and has hired us for multiple projects.

McKinney, TX

July 9, 2021

The best solution for this customer was a 6 strand multi-mode armored fiber between the first floor and the fourth floor to join two businesses that recently merged. The armored wrap protects the fiber without having to install costly innerduct which is more expensive and a less efficient installation. The fiber was corning and the LC MM connectors and fiber tray were by Commscope. CommScope Quick II connectors are super easy to install and make for a more efficient installation. The customer also wanted us to install a Cat 6A connection between the upstairs suite and the downstairs riser closet.

Corinth, TX

July 8, 2021

This customer wanted a low-cost solution so they opted out of using patch panel and just wanted us to put male RJ-45 ends on the cable and plug them directly into their switch. At the end-user side, the builder used dual-gang boxes so we had to find a dual gang plate for one single data drop to make it look clean.

Flower Mound, TX

June 30, 2021

We installed a 6 strand multi-mode fiber optic cable and two Cat 6 cables between the first and second floor of the professional building attached to Texas Presbyterian Hospital in Flower Mound, TX. This job was pretty straightforward with no issues. We did have to penetrate some firewalls which we fire caulked upon completion. All cables were certified and the results have been emailed to our customer. Just in case your curious I have added a picture of what the fiber test results look like. The other test results picture is from our Fluke Tester for Cat 6 cabling.

This new customer is building a new corporate headquarters and in the process, their fiber optic cable to their building was cut in two twice.  We received this call about 4:00 pm on a Tuesday evening and we couldn't make it there until about 8:30 pm.  Once we arrived we assessed the situation and got to work.  We completed the temporary repair by 11:30 pm allowing them to make payroll with their internet access the next morning until the phone company can run a new fiber from the pole to their building.  The customer was very happy and gave us a fiber star review as well.

May 14, 2021

We installed a solution we had not done before and it's working well. The customer asked us to install a point-to-point antenna inside a warehouse to extend a data circuit over 1000 feet. There was no reason it should have not worked but we had never installed a point-to-point inside before. To make the scenario even more interesting is that the customer put a privacy screen between their part of the warehouse and the other three-quarters of the warehouse which is where the far endpoint to point antenna is. This privacy screen is like a heavy rubberized tarp. The Ubiquiti PTP had no problem penetrating the screen from over 900 feet away. After the point-to-point was up we installed a network cabinet with some data cabling to a small office area and provided a Ubiquiti access point for local wifi as well. This customer was very pleased. On a sad note, our IT contact contracted Covid during our project and we never got to meet him.

McKinney, TX

April 20, 2021

Troptracer awarded this project to us because we have a Fluke DSX 5000 and could test, record results and email them for each data cable. We ended up testing and documenting all the existing cable and their issues. We also fixed a fiber optic issue while we where there. The patch cord had been shut in the cover of the Ubiquiti switch and when the wind would blow or if you touch the cable it would open break and the network would drop. We got this to repeat several times and then replace the patch cord with a new one and everything worked fine after that.

This project was a bring your own hardware solution where Dominion Voting provided the security cameras and just needed a company to partner with to install the cable, conduit, and cameras. The only exciting part of this job was someone walking behind the building decided to look in the windows of our work truck while it was parked out back while one of our guys was on a ladder right in front of the truck. I guess the guy didn't bother looking up. The people at Dominion Voting were very nice and easy to work with. We hope the attention and the people they are attracting will fade away.

The customer had already pulled their fiber optic cable and just needed a company to terminate, test, and certify the installation. We went on-site and completed the termination in about an hour then certified the fiber and emailed the results to our client. Since this job, they have hired us many times to install fiber at several medical facilities.

We tested over 100 cables and finished out a lot of cables that had been pulled out of cubicles in a new office reconfiguration.

Coppell, TX

March 22, 2021

We ended up installing over 100 Cat 6 cables for Neurolens new Coppell, TX headquarters along with seven wifi access points and a single-mode fiber optic cable to their exterior demarc. One of the challenges to this project was this was an existing space that was subdivided into two suites so there was no conduit that ran from their new data room to the exterior demarc closet. We coordinated this two-inch exterior conduit to be run by an electrician for Neurolens. They have asked us back to do several more small projects since we have completed this job. Great company with a lot of great employees. We really like working here.

We cabled the new lab for GreyStone Laboratories.  We pulled 13 cables and installed a Leviton Quick Disconnect 24 Port Patch Panel.  We also provided a 24 port Netgear POE switch. The customer was extremely happy with the final result.  This customer called us from the internet and needed a cabling vendor that could meet him when he flew in town from Florida.  We where happy to help at his new Irving, Tx location.

Dallas, TX

February 22, 2021

The customer, Rudolph's Meat Market, is a 100-year-old full butcher shop, located in the heart of downtown Dallas on Elm St. They called us after the huge snowstorm, that caused tons of damage due to power outages all over Texas.  We got on-site, that same day, and were able to reprogram their voice mail for the phone system.   The customer had an Avaya Partner ACS with a voicemail pc card.

Irving, TX

February 12, 2021

This was a small job where we pulled about eleven new Cat 6 cables and moved their existing patch panel onto a vertical wall mount bracket so we could add the network switch parallel to it.  They had a very small network closet, so this was not the prettiest solution but the most cost-effective and practical.  This project met their budget and allowed them to utilize all of their office space.  We ended up pulling (4) dual  Cat 6 drops to four cubicles and then add additional drops in two other rooms. We provided a Netgear 24 port POE switch so they had the capacity to use all the new cabling plus the existing network cabling that we tested and labeled for them as well.

Prosper, TX

February 11, 2021

We installed two Category 6 network cables in their office and tested them so they could use a hardwired connection instead of wifi which they were having issues with.  We are happy to meet new customers and hope they will have us back out when they grow.

Dallas, TX

February 5, 2021

We provided several solutions for Gold's Gym new corporate offices in Dallas, TX.  The main solution we provide was network cabling with over (130) Cat 6 wire runs.  The suite had an existing two-post rack and ladder rack connected to the wall.  We stripped everything off of it and supplied all-new patch panels and wire management.  We also need to move the rack two inches from the wall to allow our vertical wire manager covers to fasten correctly.  We also installed five flat-screen tvs with wall mount brackets.  Another solution was a bring your own hardware solution, we installed seven customer provided access points for wifi and we installed four customer provided switches into the rack and patched them all in.

Dallas, TX

February 3, 2021

This was a great project for us and had many different installation applications.  This Dallas data cabling job consisted of over 400 cables as well as a fiber optic demarc extension.  We installed six projectors, 6 pull-down screens, ten flat screen tv's with one being an 85" flat screen in the board room.  Some of the tv applications had Cat 6 to HDMI convertors as well as VGA extensions to the projectors.  This Reddy Ice Dallas headquarters had over 13 wifi access points installed around the office and in the boardrooms. Some of the challenges on this project was flex conduit under the slab that fed several cubicle farms had issues that we had to resolve to get our high count of cables into the cubes as well as some design changes that did not make it onto the floor plan version we were working off of. The customer moved over some existing cubicles from their old building which did not have the correct parts initially when installed so we had to wait until they came in for us to finish our part but we had plenty of AV work to do while we waited a few days to complete the baseboards. On another note, we found a new restaurant we ate at several times called Don Taco which is pretty good for street tacos, or a large bowl of Caldo de res which is essentially a beef stew with large chunks of vegetables.  Just wanted to share something in the area that we thought was noteworthy to those working around 635 and Preston road area.

January 7, 2021

We ended up terminating and testing this fiber optic cable with customer provided LC unicam connectors. Tested and certified all 6 strands between the floors.  The only obstacle was there was no light in one of the network closets so we used flashlights.

Fort Worth, TX

December 17, 2020

This was a pretty typical warehouse fiber installation.  The only difficulty we had was that they did not want to use our originally proposed network cabinets but wanted to use a more subtle enclosure that you would not suspect network equipment was in it such as a NEMA type box.  We installed 12 strands of multi-mode fiber with LC connectors.  The solution we provided was end to end including the LC fiber patch cords that would be used to connect to their devices.  All cable tested and certified.

Fort Worth, TX

December 6, 2020

The solution we implemented was an outdoor loose tube single-mode fiber installation with 6 strands at their Fort Worth TX location.  The fiber cable pull through underground conduit with several ninety degrees turns was very difficult but we got it pulled.  The next step was to strip back the cable and install the fanout kits and then fusion splice on LC pigtails for a pretty solid low loss solution. The project took two full days over a weekend.  Out customer, IT contact was very helpful and easy to work with which makes any project easier even when the physical part is difficult.  We ended up pulling over 2000 feet of underground cable between three buildings, fusion splicing on 24 ends, and certifying all 12 strands with our Owl Certification tool. This customer was very please with the successful installation.  He told us his boss was very happy because the first vendor was unsuccessful and we made it seem so easy (haha).  The selection process was so long on our original bid that I thought we did not win this so when they called and selected us I was surprised.  They had several vendors come out and walk the site and discuss the solution.  They liked our approach and explanation of how we thought we would implement it along with our plans A, B, and C depending on how difficult the fiber pull was going to be. We are very pleased when a customer is happy with our work.

Midlothian, TX

October 26, 2020

This customer thought they had damaged their fiber between their main building and their repair center down a hill on their property. When we inspected the fiber we noticed they had armored 6 strands multi-mode fiber optic cable running through the conduit. The cable did not appear damaged so we decided to shoot a Visual Fault Locators laser through the strands. The first strand was good and the second strand was very faint on the other end with laser coming through. Fortunately, they had a spare strand with an ST connector on it and we put the VFL on it and it tested good. We plugged both into their media convertor and the link lights came on. After calling the local contact he could see the network switch and said they are back up and running. This was just an issue of a bad strand or possibly connector but the customer did not want to resolve the issue but simply switch to a back up fiber and keep running. They where very happy with our service and gave us a five star review for making it to there location so quickly to get them back up and running.

Carrollton, TX

October 26, 2020

We provided the customer with a quote to install approximately 12 wifi access points across their warehouse for use with their bar code scanners while picking orders.  The customer had several problems upon our network site survey and that was they had way too few access points to cover the number of square feet that they had and the second issue is some of the access points were not adopted to the same network as the others. Our solution was to pull Category 6 network cable and install new Ubiquiti access points in a diamond grid pattern across their warehouse in Carrollton, TX.  We ended up installing two Ubiquiti POE switches in the ceiling of the warehouse and ran each group of Ap's back to those switches.  Each of the POE switches was directly connected to the data room so if one went down half of the warehouse would still be functional which was better than what they had when we did our initial survey. Upon completion, our customer was very happy with the solution and the implementation.  This customer was a pleasure to work with and gave us a great review which we really appreciate.  You can see the review HERE. We worked here for several days and got to eat at one of our favorite restaurants at the corner of Luna Rd. and Valwood Pkwy which is Tokyo Teriyaki.  It's always crowded but a table usually opens up by the time you place your order.

McKinney, TX

October 21, 2020

When arriving on site we discovered that the customer had Singlemode loose tube 12 strand fiber optic cable between their Toptracer camera system and their clubhouse at the Eldorado County Club in McKinney TX. The customer was thinking they had multi-mode 6 strand tight buffer fiber so this caused a problem for us. We needed to come back the next day with a fan-out kit in order to terminate the loose tube fiber. The difference between loose tube fiber and tight buffer is that you can put a connector directly on the end of a tight buffer cable but on loose tube you need to slide the delicate fibers into a support tube or fan-out kit to give the fiber enough support to terminate a connector to. We installed fan out kits on both ends and certified the all the pairs as good. Customer was happy with our work.

The solution we provided was comprised of twenty Bose high-end speakers powered by a Crown 1000 Watt amplifier. This overhead music solution will be integrated into there IP phone system so they can page across there speakers as well. There was four different showrooms that we installed speakers in. There was a volume control added to each room to raise or lower the volume of that room depending on the ambient noise. The best part about this project was meeting the employees of Cliff Price Company. Sometimes you just meet a great customer with great people and it just makes everything easier and more enjoyable. This installation went off without many obstacles and the customer seemed very pleased.

Oak Point, TX

September 17, 2020

The solution we provided was repairing his fiber that he pulled between his barn and his house by fusion splicing new ends on. The issue was he purchased 200 ft LC LC fiber patch cords not meant to be pulled through conduit. These are manufactured to be used in a data closet connecting network switches and are made with very light material never intending for it to be used underground connecting buildings. The issue was all the pre-terminated ends would not make it through the small diameter of the pipe so he cut them all off. We fixed them all but he will have to make dure no one gets into that closet or they could easily damage them. Ideally, he would have called us first or used a solid piece of fiber made to pull underground that would not be so delicate or with ends alreay connected. We get many calls of people trying to pull fiber with perterminated ends.

Irving, TX

September 15, 2020

This customer had twelve strand multi-mode fiber that needed to be repaired between two floors of there building. The customer was nice enough to help us test on one floor whith us on the other. After we tested we concluded two things contributed to him calling us. The first was one strand did not pass and was corrected by fusion splicing on a new LC multi-mode pigtail the other issue and probably the larger issue was the fibers where not plugged in order on the back of the bulkhead so as he tried to utilize each pair of fiber in the bulkhead they never matched on the other end so he was getting no connection. We placed them in the correct order on both ends so then he plugged in his lc patch cord into port 1,2,3 etc on the front it matched the same port at the other data closet. No real challenges on this one and enjoyed meeting a new customer.

Haslet, TX

September 11, 2020

Politon, Inc. was chosen to install the computer network at Ariat's new 1,000,000 sq ft facility in Haslet, TX just next door to Alliance airport. We have really specialized in large warehouse installations in the last several years especially with the boom in warehouse growth in the DFW area. We installed: - 10 Network Cabinets at 30' high in the ceiling - 78 customer provided access points for Wifi - 12 Cisco Network Switches - 5 Fiber runs completing a fiber ring in their facility - 100 plus Cat 6 network drops - 10 UPS/battery backup This was a large project for us but we have a great team and a great customer. Everything was successfully installed, tested/certified and is verified as up and working. The customer is very pleased and is discussing future projects with us. We are very proud of this project due to the size and scope of the project.

Argyle, TX

September 11, 2020

We went on-site to find out the customer needed four strands terminated with LC connectors. We fusion spliced both ends with pre-terminated LC multi-mode pigtails. Once we installed and certified those we moved his connection between his buildings to the newly terminated fiber and then tested his working strands which is he was wondering about. They ended up passing as well. We use a fiber certification tool by Owl Labs which allows us to save and email the documentation of the test. No real challenges for this fiber optic repair in Argyle, TX.

Lewisville, TX

September 10, 2020

We provided a total network infrastructure solution composed of Cat 6 data cabling, WiFi installation as well as twelve security cameras with an NVR that has 8 TB of storage at there new Lewisville, TX facility. The installation spanned two buildings with WiFi and cameras on the exterior of the building as well as the warehouse and office area. We finished the cabling and WiFi installation then waited for construction to catch up to us so we could install the cameras on the exterior of the building. After the project was complete we helped the customer download the Vivo Cloud app and helped him get logged in to view the cameras with his smartphone. The customer was pleased with the project and asked us if we were interested in building out a new tenant space they are adding on as well. We had two challenges on this project and the first was that we proposed a different brand camera that met their price point but was not NDAA compliant so we used another brand that met these criteria. The second challenge was the general contractor of building the facility who is not associated with my customer's company but was very difficult to work with. It took us a while to figure him out and overcome this obstacle and eventually won him over with think with kindness.

Denton, TX

September 2, 2020

Arriving on site we found that the previous tenant had removed the patch panel that all the data cabling was terminated on. We could still salvage this cabling and save the customer hundreds of dollars. We put male RJ45 ends on each cable and tested the cable to the outlet in the restaurant. They had approximately 12 Cat 5e network cables that needed to be repaired and tested. The customer also needed a small 16 port switch so we provided that as well. The last step we left to the customer to plug in a patch cord from the switch to there ISP modem once it was installed and they should be up and running. No real issues here just excitement about a new Korean chicken place near the square in Denton, TX.

Arlington, TX

September 1, 2020

This customer wanted to utilize us to install a new IT network throughout there facility. We installed a new IDF in the back of the warehouse with fiber going to an intermediate IDF in the middle of the building. The previous tenant had fiber ran through the warehouse so we were able to move an abandoned fiber cable to the middle IDF and connect back to the main data room. We installed over a dozen WiFi access points through the building, about a dozen pack out station, built out two remote data racks, and the main data room. Assisted the customer by installing all the network switches, SFP's, Battery Backups, routers, and server. The IT dept was unable to fly due to company travel restrictions so we where able to assist in getting the entire facility up and running.

Dallas, TX

August 26, 2020

We installed approximately 450' of 6 strands multi-mode armored cable between there main data room and a smaller data closet across the building. The materials for this project were Corning 1U rack mount fiber trays, Corning 6 strand bulkheads with LC duplex connectors. This Dallas fiber optic installation project was installed with very few issues to overcome. All the strands were certified with an Owl Fiber Optic Certification tool which can upload all the test results for the customer's records. The customer was so pleased they are having us come out on another project to install all new cabling in there repair shop.

University Park, TX

July 17, 2020

Once our tech got on site he discovered that the fiber was broken at the demarc box on the side of there house. The fiber was exposed coming out of the underground cable and into the demarc box. A landscaper snagged the exposed fiber and ripped it in two. Our tech fusion spliced both sides of the fiber with a piece of single mode fiber cable. After splicing the customer tested there internet connection and it was back working. Customer was very happy to be able to work from home again.

Dallas, TX

June 25, 2020

We provided a fiber repair solution for an ST connector. When we arrived the customer decided to replace the ends on all 6 strands of multi-mode fiber because he was afraid the other strands had been damaged as well. Once the fiber was repaired over one hundred computers came back online. We were happy to help in this emergency network outage due to a fiber issue on a connector. The customer was very pleased and is having us give them a quote for some additional fiber cabling to a new location in the building.

Crossroads, TX

June 24, 2020

We helped the customer move off of there old 1 Meg internet connection to there new 20 Meg Fiber Connection. This involved tracing down there old AT&T modem and patch cord that fed their network switch and patching in the network switch to the new fiber modem. Once the new modem was patched in we had to reboot the PCs to pull a new IP address and test the internet speed. Once we checked all PCs and POS stations with internet access we were done. The only issue we had was AT&T messed up the dial tone portion of this order so we could not move there dial tone to the new circuit so this will have to be scheduled for a later date once AT&T gets there order corrected. Micki the General Manager was happy with our services.

Fort Worth, TX

April 29, 2020

We were asked to extend the demarc from the customer's demarc room to there data rack in the next room. Our tech utilized Cat 6 cable for the installation and ran it through the ceiling space. We utilized male RJ45's ends on both ends of the cable. After the Category 6 cable was tested we plugged both ends into the equipment and had the customer verify the connection was up and running. This is our second project for Locus Robotics in Fort Worth, TX. We are so happy for repeat business.

This customer had a very unique situation for us to solve. The owner of a very large business park wanted to have wifi in his RV on the back of his property. Since he travels the country most of the year when he is here to check on his business he wants to have internet access. Our original discussion was to install a Point to Point antenna solution but because of the topography and trees, he felt as though it would not be a reliable solution so he wanted a fiber connection. We decided upon installing a loose tube 6 strand multi-mode fiber cable approximately 1500 feet to his RV from his building. We utilized a fan-out kit on each end and terminated the SC connectors to the fiber inside the fan-out kit. The fan-out kit serves as a support structure for the bare fibers inside loose tub fiber cabling. Once we terminated and tested the fiber we plugged both ends into Gigabit media converters and then patched them into network switches on both ends. On one end was the router with internet connectivity and on the other end was a waterproof box with a media converter that was connected to a switch in the RV with a Ubiquiti Access Point. We created the SSID and password and our customer was very pleased with the connection speed which was over 130Mbs. We considered this a very unusual yet successful project.

Our solution consisted of two NanoBeam AC Gen 2 Bridges and two Ubiquiti Ethernet Surge protectors. We mounted the Nano Beams on 1.5" pipe and fastened the surge protector with a self-tapping screw to the pipe through a previously drilled pilot hole. We used 14 gauge ground wire with a crimp-on connector to fasten to the ground portion of the surge protector and ran the wire to building ground. This solution was pretty simple to build in the shop and mount to the customers' building with metal straps. We had the customer install the management software on their pc since they would be managing this PTP application. We tested the connection which allowed us to see our IP security cameras in the remote building.

Golds Gym contacted us to repair or replace their emergency phone in their pool area at there Richardson TX location. We went on-site to discover there old emergency pool phone was rusted and corroded. We took the old one out, tested the phone line, cleaned the wall and installed the new emergency pool phone. Once installed we programmed the auto-dial phone to call 911. We called 911 and tested with the operator to make sure the phone was working as expected. The new emergency pool phone model is a Viking E-30-PT-EWP. This particular model has enhanced weather protection.

We went on-site to troubleshoot the network cabling at this Cedar Hill, TX facility. When we arrived we discovered several problems with why the TVs would not get a network connection. There was a few TVs that had there network connection plugged into the telephone jack so that was an easy solution. The second issue was the other two TVs were plugged into a switch with no uplink to the internet. We tested there Cat6 cable as good just to be sure the cabling would work. Then we plugged the connection into there main switch and the TVs pulled an ip address. We pulled up the weather channel on each tv to prove out our troubleshooting. Closed out the job with our customer and to please call us if they have any issues.

We went on-site and determined this was basically two network cabling projects. The easier project was the Cat 6 cabling that would be running to the IDF cabinet at one end of the building. This IDF was connected back to the main data room with OM3 multimode fiber optic cabling. The more difficult part of the project was the cabling that ran to the main data room. There was an existing data rack that we had to work around and ultimately help the customer move out of the data room after moving all of his network gear into the new rack. We completely built out the new data rack with all of the customer's new and existing hardware. One of the challenges of this project was our lead tech getting vertigo from a previous ear infection that caused him to be out of work for over a month. We really missed him on this project and it caused us to ask for an additional week to complete the project. Our customers where very gracious and kind to our timeline and we completed the project on our second target date. On this project we installed over 150 Cat 6 cables, a 10G 6 strand Multimode fiber optic cable, one data rack and one network cablinet.

We provided a turn-key projector installation solution for Smart City Apartment Locators. We provided a universal Epson projector mount which is a really solid universal mount. We had to utilize a one-man bucket lift to mount the projector on the ceiling with a super strut. We spanned two joists with the strut and mounted the projector to the strut. The customer had us add there Apple TV to the top of the projector and plugged into HDMI port 1. We painted the strut black to match the ceiling. Upon testing the Apple TV with the customer we cleaned up the site and put the lift back out in the parking lot for pick up the next morning. The customer was very pleased with how the installation looked.

We installed Cat6 data cabling to all of there new offices in Arlington, TX. The customer wanted to reuse there own data rack which posed a few challenges since they did not have all the nuts and bolts so we improvised until we got them. This is usually the case when we have customers reuse equipment they had but we are happy to oblige and make the best of it. We installed ladder racking to the wall and anchored the base of the rack to the concrete so it should never move. The materials we used where Leviton 48 Port Cat 6 patch panels, Leviton Extreme Cat 6 jacks, Leviton 2U front back wire managers and faceplates. We also provided the customer with all the patch cords for the network rack as well as the work station. Another task we performed was a demarc extension for there network circuit which was in a common closet down the hallway. We pulled two Cat6 cables to take care of there current and any future demarc needs to there suite.

We installed a wifi solution in Fort Worth, TX for a Locus Robotics project. This project required custom painted backboards for the wifi Ap's, Cat6 dual wire runs to each wifi access point, fiber optic cabling between two separate IDF cabinets, UPS installation and mounting customer provided switches. In layman's terms, we installed a turn-key wifi solution that Locus Robotics will us to run their wifi-enabled robots. We had to pull fiber cabling as well as Cat6 cabling in this Fort Worth-based project.

Politon, Inc. installed seven new data wire runs within the office space. Part of this project was to move an existing patch panel to a horizontal rack mount along with a new network switch and firewall that was provided by the customer. We totally reorganized the data room to make it more functional and cleaner. There were not really any challenges on this project except for some coordination of taking down the old network switch and installing the new network switch. We overcame this by having everything staged toward the end of the day when downtime would be acceptable. Some of the positives of this project were that it is located in Plano right off the tollway. So proximity to the job site is always a bonus. The customer was very easy to work with and tried there best to accomodate us while working in a busy office space.

We got a call from Dalworth Restoration in Euless, TX saying they wanted to have a security camera system installed. They were in need of multiple IP security cameras that needed to be integrated into there computer network. We installed network cabling in three different buildings and connected them together with the customer's Point To Point network. We created two new remote data closets or IDF closets as we call them in this industry. Soon after the request was made we were on the job. There where over thirty cameras at this facility installed. The cameras had to be installed in an assortment of locations including a mix of outside along the corrugated walls of the building, attached to the rafters in the storage warehouse and on sheetrock ceilings in the offices. We installed fixed lens cameras as well as varifocal lens cameras that can zoom in to a closer view. Both types of cameras described are IR cameras for seeing in total darkness. One of the issues we had to overcome on this project was the customers point to point wireless connections between the buildings. They had an old PTP antenna that the customer thought worked at one time. To get it working we had to pull a new Cat 6 data cable to it as well as a new power adapter. So with this new mini-project completed we were able to link the back building into the network for connectivity with the NVR in the main building. Politon, Inc. has installed many security camera installations in North Texas. We have been servicing North Texas businesses for over 10 years.

We had the pleasure of getting to help Avis get their network back up and running at the airport. We suspected it was a fiber optic issue. With some basic troubleshooting, we discovered that someone had hit the boot of the fiber connector breaking the fiber inside the boot. Once we replaced the fiber connector there network came back up.

Pilot Point, TX

We went on-site to repair a multi-mode 62.5-micron fiber optic cable. The tech on site discovered that when shining a laser (Visual Fault Locator) in the fiber it appeared to be broken right at the back of the connector. The tech decided to replace the connector with a new SC multi-mode connector. The tech did a field inspection with a microscope and the core of the glass was clear so we plugged it back into the fiber port on the network switch and the network came back up. The customer was happy and we packed up.

We originally went on-site to install a 6 strand single-mode fiber optic cable in an existing conduit between there demarc room and their data room. Upon inspection of the conduit, it was very full and we tried several different ways to get our fiber through it but the customer decided that they wanted us to install a new 2" conduit to match there existing ones for a new path to there data closet. We also installed a Corning wall mount fiber box and 6 port bulkhead. We installed corning 6 strands single-mode armored fiber so if any future tenants used this conduit they would not damage SWA's new fiber cable inside. We certified the fiber connections and have downloadable documentation of the results.

After winning our proposal for a network cabling and fiber solution the owners of Chandler Cabinets in Pilot Point wanted to look at security cameras as well. We ended up installing over sixty IP Security Cameras for quality control, security, and safety at there 108,000 square foot Pilot Point, TX facility. Our network solution consisted of over sixty additional Cat6 drops for computers and networked machinery. We installed five remote data closets with fiber and wifi in strategic areas of the building. We installed all the conduit to the cameras as well with four pendant cameras in the main aisle of the warehouse. Since the completion of this project, Chandler Cabinets has awarded us another project of there new executive offices and showroom. The challenges that we had to overcome on this project were the many remote data closets we had to create throughout the facility due to distance limitations of network cabling. We overcame this easily since Chandler Cabinets and more specifically our IT point of contact Jerrid D was so accommodating in helping us find secure locations to add additional data racks. Some refreshing and fun things on this project were working with Jerrid D our IT contact. When your contact is knowledgable of infrastructure and design it makes communication efficient and focused. We were on the same page throughout the project. Jerrid also let us provide an entire Ubiquiti solution throughout the entire warehouse. This allowed Jerrid to now manage and see a topology map of every device specifically connected to each switch port and which users are connected to which AP, along with many more network metrics. It's fun to get to create the entire network and see it up and running. Here is what our contact had to say about us on Google Reviews: We hired Clint and his team to design, build and deploy our fiber optic network and 60 camera layout in our new 200,000 sq foot manufacturing facility. We went on-site and installed a new fiber optic ST connector on a spool of fiber that was used by the media department for sports events. We ended up going back on-site to fix this connector for free. We had to train our contact that on a BNC style ST connector you cannot simply pull the fiber cable off a connector by grabbing the boot. The boot popped off causing the connector to not be as sturdy to protect the fiber. Our tech put on a new ST connector and showed the customer how to push and twist before the connector comes off and not by pulling the connector by the boot only.

We went on-site and tested 8 strands of single-mode fiber optic cable. We determined that there was a low loss on several strands so the next steps were to shine a laser down the fiber and look for breaks around the boot of the connector. We did not see anything obvious so we decided to replace the ST connectors on both ends of the low loss fiber. After replacing the connectors we tested again achieving passing results.

When we first got on site we assessed the situation and discovered that they had a large tangle of wires and fiber cables tightly wound together. The second issue is they where putting LC ends directly on the cable instead of into a secure fiber box with a fiber panel and patch cords. Upon trouble shooting we discovered that the fiber was broke at the boot of severl fiber connectors. We pulled the single-mode fiber back to the wall and installed the cable where it is fastened securely to the wall, installed a small Corning fiber box with a bulkhead to patch the fibers into on both sides keeping it safe and working. We terminated all the 6 fibers on both ends and certified them as well. The customer was happy that their network was back up and that our fiber optic repair got there Irving location back up and running.

When we arrived at City Park, we knew the best place to start troubleshooting is always at the end of the patch cord. Our technician quickly discovered the first problem was that the SC Multimode Fiber patch cord was damaged by connecting the patch cord to his laser visual fault indicator. He quickly discovered that the fiber strand had become disconnected from the SC connector. This could have possibly happened when the staff was trying to troubleshoot the more sinister problem which we would soon discover. After replacing the defective patch cord with a tested one we discovered that we could get 600 plus good feet of fiber signal which took us to the first building with a problem. We left the visual fault indicator in the main building on and when entering the storage closet where their data rack was we saw a bright red glow behind the fiber panel with no light coming out of the bulkheads. Upon inspection, there was a strand of fiber with a red laser coming out of it just laying on the bottom of the fiber tray. We soon learned that the culprit that disconnected two apartment buildings was probably a mouse. The symptoms were already suspected because of how the outages occurred and are fairly common especially in data closets with an exterior entry. The lesson to be learned here is when you have exterior entry data closets to make sure they are tightly sealed.

Upon arrival to the At Home Store, our technician was taken to the first network cabinet to re-terminate 6 strands of multi-mode 10 Gig fiber with LC connectors. His first observation was that the fiber cable was multimode 10Gig loose tube fiber. This fiber comes with fiber strands that are 250um diameter and are not to be terminated directly to a connector. This was the case when we arrived and quickly explained why their fiber cable was damaged. The 250um fiber is so fragile that anyone working in the network cabinet could simply bump the strands and cause them to break off in the connector. Our tech installed what is called a fanout kit which is basically a support structure that you slide the fragile strands into. Basically, a fiber sock so to speak which gives it enough structural integrity that you can install a connector on the end without fear of it breaking the small fiber strand. There are fiber cables that do not require a fan-out kit for additional structural support but are typically more expensive but are easier to terminate. We have included some pictures of the fiber strands below without out the fan out kit. You can see the loose tube fiber with the super small fibers terminating directly into the LC connectors. We also include a picture with the fanout kit installed and you can see how much bigger the diameter with the fiber jacket on is and how they would be more secure and strong than when they are bare.

When a power supply fails, it's a subtle but known issue on the Nortel Call Pilot 100 voicemail system. We decided it was the best course of action to pursue the cheapest solution and ended up for making one happy customer. If you are in need of phone system repair in Corinth TX please give us a call today and we will be glad to help. Symptoms of a faulty power supply on a Nortel Call Pilot 100 are that the lights are still green as they should be with a good power supply but the voltage does not allow the voicemail to operate or be opened up when calling it's extension ports. I suspect the voltage is to low and will not open up the voicemail port switch. Either way, it appears working when it really isn't and that is when we suspect power supply issues. We where happy we could repair this phone system in Corinth TX. Here is what our newest customer had to say: Our Voicemail system went out and we called our phone guys to see if they could come take a look at it. They tried to troubleshoot over the phone and basically said the system is fried. They gave us quotes for a new phone system at $7,000+. They weren't interested in looking at our current system or replacing the piece that they stated was no longer good. We called around and found Clint with Politon Inc. He came out and knew within minutes that is was likely the power source that was out and not our system. He went and got the part and it is now working perfectly. A $75 part! Sadly, our "normal phone guys" were only interested in selling us a new system. Thanks Clint for saving us over $7,000!" Brenda - Corinth Family Medicine & Pediatrics
